ANAEM, with the support of the European Union,  has set up a new programme for economic and social reintegration of rejected asylum seekers wishing to return voluntarily to the country of their origin. In partnership with the Ordre de  Malte France and Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale , the plan is  launched in France and in 9 other countries: Armenia, Cameroon, Congo DRC, Georgia... "

650 persons were present at avenue du Maréchal Lyautey, a record attendance . Without counting the dancers and the musicians  who came especially from Armenia.

European Union – Armenia Migrations Project – On March 31st 2009, a meeting took place at the European Union Delegation in Armenia premises for the official launch of the project. This meeting was chaired by HE Mr Raul de LUZENBERGER, Head of the Delegation in Armenia for the European Commission with HE Mr Serge SMESSOW, French Ambassador in Armenia and  Mr Jean GODFROID, General Manager of  Office Français de l'Immigration et de l'Intégration (OFII), formerly ANAEM. The return to Sources project after five years since its launch in November 2005 has registered more than 300 returnees and more than 80 small businesses.

 
 
Project EU Migrations- Training Novembre 18-19 , 2009

 

In addition to the State Service of Migrations capacity reinforcement and creation of data base for the Hotline service for those who wish to have information on migrations, our French colleagues from OFII were on 18 and 19 November 2009 in Yerevan for organization of training for their Armenian colleagues from State Service of Migrations and Employment Agency of the RA on practical aspects of Legal Migration.

Round table was organised for presentation of sociological survey findings on identification of needs and issues in the Mental Health Sphere in Armenia.

The World Bank Armenia office awarded five grants to civil society actors. The French Armenian Development Foundation’s project on minimum conditions of special education and regulation model for the Children with special need was among the winners.
