AAAS Nursing Homes

Serving the Elderly

In 1947, the Association created its first establishment in Andilly in Val-d'Oise. This first step marks the beginning of a genuine network of solidarity-based facilities.

The smooth operation of the association attracts the attention of the I.R.O. and Health Services who appreciate its rigorous management. Thus, in 1951, a second retirement home is opened in Montmorency, still in the former department of Seine et Oise.

In 1954, the current name of Armenian Association for Social Aid (A.A.A.S.) is adopted to highlight the development of its activities in the social field and reflect the profound economic and social changes since its creation.

On June 8, 1956, French authorities recognize the importance of our commitment by granting us the status of establishment recognized as being of public utility.

In 1959, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees entrusts it with the management of the Armenian Home in Saint-Raphaël in the Var.

In 1986, for modernization reasons, the retirement home in Andilly is transferred to Gonesse in Val d'Oise, with all its staff and residents of the time.

AAAS has continuously developed its action, deeply rooted in the social field, with specific expertise in the field of seniors.
