OUR VALUES

Our Founding Principles

AAAS is based on five core values: solidarity, mutual aid, independence, innovation and civic engagement.

These principles guide each of our actions and give meaning to our public service mission.

Solidarity: the essence of our mission

Solidarity: the essence of our mission

Since our foundation, solidarity has guided our commitment to the most vulnerable: elderly people losing their autonomy, students in difficulty, migrants, refugees and war victims.

This value is embodied in each of our programs and constitutes our raison d'être.

Mutual aid: our cohesion in action

Mutual aid: our cohesion in action

We believe in the ability of people who share the same values to organize themselves to overcome difficulties together: creating bonds in our nursing homes, networking our beneficiaries, solidarity development projects in Armenia.

Independence: guarantee of impartiality

Independence: guarantee of impartiality

Our association is independent of any political or religious tendency. Recognized as serving the public interest since 1956, this neutrality enshrined in our statutes guarantees impartial action in service of all.

This independence allows us to act exclusively according to the needs of our beneficiaries and to make our decisions according to our priorities.

Innovation: tradition and modernity

Innovation: tradition and modernity

Our century-old history does not prevent us from innovating. On the contrary, it gives us the necessary strength to adapt to social, technological and regulatory transformations.

Innovation helps us question our practices and seek the most effective solutions, always in compliance with current standards, to meet the evolving needs of our beneficiaries.

Respect for republican values: a civic commitment

Respect for republican values: a civic commitment

AAAS fully adheres to the principles of liberty, equality and fraternity that form the foundation of the French Republic. This commitment, concretized by our signing of the Republican Engagement Contract, guides all our actions.

We actively promote these values in our establishments and programs, thus contributing to living together and a more inclusive society.

"The sense of solidarity, it is on this foundation that AAAS was built and it is on which it continues to build, generation after generation." - Extract from AAAS archives, 1950.
